Our Last club tournament was held on Sunday October 19, 2008. We had a total of 7 members fish with us on the day. David Rush won the event with 3 fish weighing in at 4lbs and 1 oz. David also had the big fish of the tournament at 1lb 8oz. Congratulations to David on his tournament win, and for landing the big fish. No doubt a tough day fishing for everyone involved.  

Some may have noticed the Forums page has had issues the last couple of months. Those issues have been repaired. The site keeps getting attacked by spammers, so the auto registration has been disabled. If any new people want to sign up please let me know, I will be doing this manually from here on out.

Next tournament is Sunday November 16, 2008 Blast off is at 0530 @ Flowertown Restaurant. Weigh-in is at 1500 @ Gilligan's on the tailrace canal. Good luck to everybody.

There is a new rule that will be enforced this year, and that is the use of life jackets when the main engine of the boat is running. If found to be operating your watercraft, and not wearing a coast guard approved life jacket, the competitor will be disqualified from the tournament, and will receive no points for participating.

The six-man team is final and the following members will be going to lake Hartwell: David Rush, Clayton Ward, Dusty Sawyer, Robert Simmons, Mike Gray, and Pat Brown. Kenneth Babcock is the alternate.

The club officers have been determined and are as follows:

Weigh master: Clayton Ward

Treasurer: Dusty Sawyer

Secretary/Web Administrator: Scooter Martin

The tournament committee members are as follows:

Charlie Baker, David Rush Dennis Driggers, and Kenny Babcock.

The members will be responsible for determining  the time and place of this years tournaments. Speaking of tournaments it was decided that there will be an out-of-town tournament this year, place and time still to be decided.
